A Must to Have In London Every Week: Reflexology Massage

Some body aches and pains can be relieved by applying pressure on specific areas and points of your body, such as your ears, hands, and feet. This is the principle behind reflexology, which applies pressure to the reflex points corresponding to various organs and bodily systems. For example, pressure points in the arch of your foot are related to the bladder point, so when a reflexologist applies appropriate pressure to that area with their fingers or thumb, that pressure directly affects the functioning of your bladder. This is why reflexology is considered an affordable and non-invasive alternative for relieving illnesses and improving the body's functions.

It is important to note that reflexology is not a cure. Rather, it is used as a preventative measure or to complement other treatment options. A wide range of conditions can be addressed by reflexology, including headaches, asthma, kidney function, sinusitis, PMS, cardiovascular problems, cancer treatment, anxiety, and diabetes.

Since the early 90s, reflexology has grown increasingly popular across Europe. In Denmark, studies revealed that reflexology has helped minimise absenteeism and sick leaves, saving companies money and increasing productivity. Employees also reported partial or complete improvement in conditions that have been aggravated or caused by stress. The London work force is experiencing the benefits of reflexology, too, especially when offered by professionalmassage therapists and reflexologists.

Reflexology can be conducted at least once a week with massage therapies. Both are different in terms of approach.  A massage systematically manipulates the body's soft tissues through techniques like stroking, kneading, friction, and tapping to relax your muscles, while reflexology focuses on the pressure and reflex points in the hands, ears, and feet through micromovement techniques like finger or thumb walking, and hook and backup to induce a response. Basically, a massage works from the outside in, while reflexology works inside out to release your tension.
